1. Overview

CodeVault ("we," "us," or "our") sells digitally delivered software products. Because downloaded digital products cannot be "returned," our refund policy is structured around verified defects and material misrepresentation rather than buyer's remorse.

We stand behind the quality of every product listed on our marketplace. If a product fails to meet our quality standards and the author cannot resolve the issue in time, we will issue a full refund.

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact the author first. Use the "Contact Author" button on the product page. Give them at minimum 72 hours to respond and provide a fix.
  2. If unresolved, contact CodeVault Support. Go to contact.php and select "Refund Request" as the subject. Include your order ID, the product name, the issue description, and evidence that you contacted the author.
  3. Our team reviews your request within 2 business days and may contact you for additional information.
  4. Decision communicated. You'll receive an email with our decision. If approved, the refund is processed immediately.
Tip: Keep a record of your communication with the author. Screenshots of your support conversation significantly speed up refund approvals.

If a buyer successfully initiates a payment chargeback for a purchase, the refunded amount will be deducted from the responsible author's pending earnings, along with a $15 chargeback processing fee. Authors with more than 3 chargebacks in a rolling 90-day window may have their selling privileges reviewed.

8. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with our refund decision, you may escalate your case to our Senior Support team by emailing disputes@codevault.io with your ticket number. All escalations are reviewed by a different team member and responded to within 3 business days.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Refund Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced in-app and via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
